When you incorporate with DirectIncorporation.com, you will start by completing a short application by phone, with one of our consultants, or online using a form that is structured to address the law and requirements specific to your chosen corporate form and state of incorporation (*See below for our process for North Carolina).
Immediately after the application is completed, we will send confirmation to you. Then, professionals at DirectIncorporation.com will closely audit your application and apply the information to the preparation of your company’s Articles of Incorporation (or Articles of Organization). We will contact you without delay should there be any discrepancy or ambiguities in the information that you have supplied us. Once completed, your company’s Articles, along with other required documents, will be submitted to the Secretary of State for approval.
When the state approves and
returns the Articles of Incorporation to DirectIncorporation.com, we will notify
you of the approval and immediately send the Articles, other documents
and information to your company. We will remain in touch while
we
wait for the state to process the Articles. You will have constant
access to our online Client Center. There, you can download your
company’s
formation documents and check on the progress of your order. At DirectIncorporation, we strive to be the most informative and helpful from the start of the process to the finish, so please feel free to call or contact us online at any point. Our toll free number is 877-281-6496.

Click Here To Order Free Company Name Search
The Free Company Name Search is provided to assist you in determining if the company name you would like to use is available in your state to form a Corporation or LLC. We will research the availability of your name under your Secretary of State’s name availability guidelines. This no-obligation search usually takes one business day to complete.
Incorporating in Delaware or Nevada?
DirectIncorporation.com can
provide your new company with dependable and reliable resident agent
services for $79.00 the first year and $99.00 per annum thereafter.
Virtually every state requires corporations and LLCs to appoint a resident
agent. Most adult state residents can serve as a resident agent. However, it
is usually in a company’s best interests to appoint a resident agent
who is closely associated with the company, so as to ensure that the company
is immediately alerted to all important mailings. Corporations commonly appoint
owners, directors, or officers of the company to serve as the initial resident
agent. Appointing such a person as your resident agent is usually only an option
when you incorporate in the state where you also carry on your business.
If you incorporate in a state where you do not have an office, you may need
to contact an outside party and arrange for that party to serve as your company’s
resident agent. This situation is likely to occur only if you are an out-of-stater
incorporating in Delaware or Nevada. If you wish, DirectIncorporation.com
will provide your new company with dependable and reliable resident agent services.

Click Here To Start Trademark Registration Process
This is a FREE service with the purchase of the Comprehensive Trademark Search ($239.00). The Trademark Registration Manager includes the DIY software preparation and submittal of your federal trademark application to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The Trademark Registration Manager is designed to enable you to easily fill out the USPTO trademark registration application (the USPTO will require a $325.00 application fee which we do not collect), and to provide assistance in the areas that are commonly problematic to applicants.
“With the Trademark Registration Manager, I was surprised with how simple the application actually was. I'm glad that I didn't pay someone to fill this form out for me, and I was overjoyed that Direct Incorporation offered these value-added services to assist me with the parts of the process that I couldn't handle.”
How it works:
- Step 1: Provide Basic Information
Get started by completing the brief application on our site.
- Step 2: Prepare Your Description
When you're ready to process the application, you want to make sure that you have the correct information ready. The primary choice will be selecting the appropriate description for the trademark. Our Software Guide will help you prepare your description, by using the information and resources provided by the USPTO.
- Step 3: Clear Your Trademark of Conflicts
Our Company will perform the Comprehensive Search and Provide you with a Search Report prior to filing. This search will examine thousands of sources to assist you in making a clear determination whether your proposed business, product or service name is available for your use and available for you to register as a trademark. Click here to view the databases researched.
- Step 4: File the Application With the USPTO
When the Comprehensive Trademark Search is completed, you will be prompted to complete the USPTO application with the accompanying Trademark Registration Manager to guide you through it. At that time you will be required to pay $325.00 to the USPTO.
- Step 5: (OPTIONAL) Track The Progress of Your Application
After the application is filed with the USPTO, you want to ensure that the application remains active and on track. The leading administrative risk that leads applications to be refused is not responding to a USPTO Office Action within six months of its issuance (“failure to respond”). The TM Status Updates address this risk by continually tracking the progress of the application and reporting to you by email on a timely basis if any action is required. Click here to see what is included in the status updates.
- Step 6: (OPTIONAL) Monitor Your Trademark for Infringement
As a trademark owner, you want to enforce and maintain your trademark rights, and stop confusion between you and any competitors. The Monitoring Services will inform you if another company is applying for a trademark that would infringe on your trademark rights. It will also inform you if a potentially infringing trademark is published in the Official Gazette, so that you can oppose the registration. The Monitoring Services will also inform you if another company is using your trademark without permission in a way that could lead to a loss of your trademark rights. Click here to view the databases monitored.

Direct Incorporation is a premier research and corporate filing service and is not a law firm. We are not in a position to advise our clients on the viability of obtaining a trademark registration. Since not all trademark applications filed will be registered, we believe it is important to consult an attorney before filing a trademark application so that you are fully informed on the risks and possible outcomes of the trademark application process.
