The Option To Provide A Delayed Start
A company generally comes into existence
and becomes "incorporated” when the Articles
of Incorporation (for a C-corporation or S-corporation) or the Articles
of Organization (for a LLC) are filed with the state. Becoming incorporated
on the date of filing is
usually
the
best
option.
However,
if there
is
a reason that you require your company to become incorporated at
a later date, states allow a delayed effective date, if so stated on
the Articles.
